“It's fine for a major chain. Prices are too high but what's new. I usually go to Winco for my monthly stock up and go to Safeway to replace things like milk, sour cream or occasionally vegetables. Sale prices are OK. Best deals: go to the meat dept. and look at their clearance meat. If you have room in a freezer this is a great way to save some major money. Clearance meat is usually around 30% to 50% off the original or sale price. I have gotten some really good deals this way.”

“One of my top 5 foods is the "California Dreamin'" sandwich from Safeway. Turkey, ranch spread, bacon, avocado. Add cheese and onions. It's almost perfect, except the name is super dorky.”
