“My kids needed soccer cleats for the up-coming season and I didn't want to pay a lot. I ended up buying my son a pair of S.A.Gear for $17.99 that seemed to be a bit wider (which he needs) than your normal, super-narrow variety. But then my daughter has a woman's size foot so I ended up paying $40 for a really nice pair of Nikes. But because I spent over $50 on shoes, I was then given $10 off an apparel purchase. The week before I had seen a nice Columbia Camp shirt for my husband that was on sale for around $25. Take off the $10 and I got it for $15. “I participated in one of those "buy gifts for underprivileged children for Xmas" campaigns, and I picked a kid who wanted a football helmet. I just wanted a real American gift because there is no chance I will ever offer a football helmet to anyone in my family (yes, we play soccer in Europe people). I thought it would be the easiest thing to find: I went to 5 different stores up and down the Peninsula and didn't find a single football helmet!!! I ended up having to offer a gift card instead, which is lame. Fail.”
