path takes pictures that you can share and limits you to 50 followers. instagram, another popular photo sharing app, does the same thing without the 50 followers limit but you can restrict access to only authorized followers.

I don't get it--do you upload pictures to share with people?

Only photos taken with your iPhone can be uploaded and shared with up-to 50 authorized people.

“In essence it's a photo sharing app like Instagram, but its unique feature is restricting your contacts to a maximum off fifty of your best friends. Also you can't publish to Facebook and Twitter. Now in theory an app like this which is meant for sharing with just your best friends and family is a fine idea, but in reality it doesn't work. It would be better if you could select your best friends from Facebook and share with them, but you can't with Path(unless they are on Path too) and you can with Facebook(if you use lists that is). That said the app itself is fine, it's stable and easy to use.
