gkruis I've heard good things. What does it compare to? I've only really watched Trigun, Cowboy Bepop, and some Evangelion.

fnoo Of those three, it would be closest to Trigun. It's sort of a standard long-form shonen adventure series, in the same model as Naruto or Kenshin, but with its own particular personality and twists.

It's got a sort of inconsistent tone, flipping back and forth between frivolous episodes and story arcs that appear to be aimed at kids and very dark, violent sections. Sometimes it can jump back and forth very suddenly.

gkruis I've always found that odd about anime, that flip-flop in tone. I felt like Cowboy Bebop had a lot of frivolous-seeming episodes. Trigun was my favorite of the three I've seen, so maybe Full Metal will be up my alley.
