“Ok, so it seems like in the end we are supposed to feel good for the boss for finding his humanity again after walking in the shoes of the little people that make his company. If anything, you see the working conditions the boss has so carelessly allowed to fall to hell and the people so in need of a paycheck they will subject themselves to it.
Check out the episode where the CEO of 711 gets his feelings hurt when he hears a 711 cashier doesn't see the job as a permanent career choice. Boo hoo.
Feel bad for the 7 dollar an hour cashier who works long hours to survive, not the CEO who has to pretend to be a cashier for the cameras.
At the end of every episode, the "undercover boss" feels generous for the cameras and can only offer temporary solutions.
This show can be pretty upsetting but not in the way the producers intended.”

“I really dig this show. It seems like the CEO's cry in every single episode in the current season. I wonder how they select the workers. Because there is always some common thread between the CEO and the individuals they are chose to be 'trained' by.”

“Wow, I think this aired sometime this last year. I got tired of listening to my mom telling me that I needed to watch so I gave it a chance on Netflix. I had no idea of how compelling it was. It really takes you into these people lives that they help in the places that they work. Just be prepared for the Hooters episode, it was probably the most eye opening.”

“Oh wow what a great show. The episode with Herschland Entertainment was one of my faves. When the CEO gave the kid from Silver Dollar City the scholarship i was almost in tears. Great show to see the inside of big companies. I hope to see this show around for awhile.”

“SUCH a cool idea for a show! Making CEOs work on the assembly line and showing the skills you need to be an 'unskilled' worker! The end is wonderful and seeing how hard it is for these big wigs is kinda nice now-a-days ;)”
