“Fast, but haven't found a use for it yet.”

“Well, in this first version, the app is kinda useless. No map to show where you are or show globally your position + your friends. Not a lot of users (Foursquare is a lot more used). And it sucks the battery life at the speed of light, cause the GPS is actived non stop as long as the app is running even in the background.”

“A way to stalk you friends when they open up their maps. Kind of creepy, yes. Shows where exactly they are on the map if they have their map open. Or updates where they were last... Is this suppose to be a social network?”

“Works brilliantly, and has a KILLER feature- adding your location manually. So lying about where you are still works. The best use scenario is to find people near you. Only problem- only works for people with smart-phones. That shouldn't be a problem for long!
Missing feature. Showing different locations for different people. So you can hide from family without hiding from from your friends, etc.”

“Great app developed by Google. I have not had a great chance to use this app, but i am trying to. This is a friend locator/GPS app. If you get this app, let me know. Your friends need this app aso to find them. Its great so far, but not sure i always want people to find me. But let me know what you guys think. Ill be trying it out this weekend.”

“OS version of Google's location sharing app. If you wish to share your location in real-time, or mark that you are at a location you set in the app, this is useful. You can see where your friend's or co-workers are located if they are also running the app and you are "friends."”

“This kind of creeps me out, in a video i watched explaining it they said it would keep you from answering messages like "where r u?", which is great if you dont mind people knowing your exact coordinates. Im pretty sure even after i signed out of the app from my google account, it still kept broadcasting my GPS location, because the little icon was up at the top. It wasnt until i told it to "hide my location" and disabled it from running in the background that it stopped.

If youre interested in this, you should approach it like you should Facebook in terms of privacy, only add very special people to this, and know how to control it before you leave it on by accident.”

“Brilliant app as long as your gmail users have it because when they update their current location you can get directions to get to them its really good if you are meeting a friend or finding a lost buddy”
