“I have always loved Joan Rivers and had the feeling that there must be a deeper side to her than plastic surgery and outrages jokes. The documentary shows that. Don't get me wrong, it is not a downer. It is full of plenty of outrageousness. It just shows the other side also. We see that Joan suffers from the low self esteem that seems to inflict every top line comic. We see a loyal and selfless side. Not something one always thinks about when you think 'Joan Rivers'/

Very very worth it!”
“The Joan Rivers documentary is at moments funny, but mostly pretty melancholy. Joan herself is the hardest woman in show business. But you wonder why she bothers. She seems to measure her life by her ability to employ a staff of a dozen but then has to fly all over the planet doing any work she can get to support them. In the end, she seems very lonely.”
“this was a really good documentary. her story was real sad on many levels, but she's a resilient personality! good piece.”
“This was actually interesting even though I'm not a huge Joan Rivers fan. It was also kinda sad because she talks about some personal losses and struggling to support her entire staff.”
