“The best photography app I have tried so far. It brings a lot of professional features to the iPhone camera, including a grid overlay, so you can easily implement the rule of thirds in to your pictures. Also easier zooming than the official camera app. After you take your picture, you can add filters (like black and white, sepia), borders and more. After that, you can share via flickr, facebook, twitter, email, or you can just save to your camera roll.”
“Camera+ is the app that got yanked from the iTS by the app police for allowing people to snap pics with the volume button on the side of the iPhone. This recently released update of the app marks the return of Camera+ to the store, and the elimination of the sneaky picture snapping functionality. You need an iPhone 4 to fully appreciate the app. Its all about speed and the better lens.
I like how you can set the white-ballence manually while shooting (use two fingers). But why are there only presets (if many) to do it post-shot?
where is the histogram? The manual color saturation or balance, exposure..
The post-shot editing options you get are almost all light filters or light effects. (beautiful no doubt, but still..)
But even if this app lacks editing depth.. its called "camera" after all. I like the Picture roll feature. Collecting all images from a day or shoot for review before you decide on what to do with them. This feature alone makes it superior to the regular camera app and more then capable of fully replacing it!
that said.. its a little annoying that you cant set the app to always open in capture mode.. I missed a shot or two because I had to navigate from the preview in picture roll back to the capture screen. (takes about 2 seconds)”
