“If you have a premium subscription, this app is amazing!”
“I have been using the music streaming software Spotify for almost two years now, and can't say much more than that I absolutely love it!
There are millions of tracks available in Spotify's library so you have plenty to listen to. However there are some labels that you won't find in there, but it didn't matter too much to me, since I have been able to find almost all of my music on Spotify. Besides, if you can't find it you can always get it from somewhere else and add it as a local track.
The application itself is easy to use and has a pretty good looking interface. I haven't had any problems whatsoever with searching for songs and organizing my playlists. The Facebook integration is done nicely, where you can see all your friends (that is those who also activated the Facebook integration in Spotify) and browse their playlists, look at what tracks they have starred etc. You can of course decide which playlists to show off to your friends and which not to. You can subscribe to your friends' playlists or even make collaborative playlists, which is a really interesting feature.
I started off with the basic free version of Spotify, which is supported by ads. The ads weren't all too intrusive, the occasional banner in the application window and every few songs there would be a short ad, lasting about 5-30 seconds.
I really didn't mind the ads, but prefer not to have them, which is why I upgraded to Spotify Premium after a few months with them.
Premium will cost you 9.99€ per month. This removes the ads completely and unlocks a couple more features. The most important one to me was the option to enable offline playlists, which you can do on up to 3 devices on one account. I say devices, and not computers, because Spotify also works on mobile devices such as the iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Palm and Nokia's Symbian phones, if you are using Premium. Having Spotify Premium also allows you to use Spotify anywhere in the world for as much as you like. The free version only lets you use it outside of your own country for 14 days before it locks the account.
The only thing right now that I find somewhat annoying is that you can't choose how to sort playlists on a mobile device. But that is only a minor flaw, and I'm sure that feature is on the way!
I have been happily paying for Spotify Premium for 14 months now when writing this review and I do sincerely recommend it to anyone who likes to listen to music!”
“LOVE, this application with it's £10 a month price tag is great, i haven't gone a day since buying it without using it, any song any time. Works perfectly and now with the new iPhone 4.0 update it can be used as a background music player whilst surfing the web.”
“Absolutely the best. 100 times YES”
“Spotify for iPhone is an excellent App and you'll probably find yourself saving a lot of money if you normally buy your music from an online store like iTunes or Amazon. It lets you stream songs from their massive catalogue (they do have a lot of stuff, from mainstream acts to really obscure ones), plus you can save playlists to your iOS device to play offline which is good if you don't have an 3G connection or, like me, you don't really want to pay for music if you don't have to.”
“verry good streaming cloud it is the monny worht”
“Very usefull for it's purpose however music must be paid for...”
“I don't pay for the member ship so this app to me is bullsh*t lol. I wish they would at least let it work if you are on WiFi and just not let you on 3G that seems fair to me. But this review is totally pointless cause if you pay for the Premium account on Spotify you will have this already as that is the main reason you pay that much a month :L”
“Swedish awesomeness. Must have.”
“A cool way to listen and discover music, like Deezer.”
“Only for premium members.”
“Only if you have a subscription..”
