Neat gift! I loved Brief Interviews so much, it slew me. Really: It was so awesome I lost all ability to concentrate, and I had to stop reading. I had to stop reading Infinite Jest, too - probably I took the wrong tactic by trying to read the footnotes linearly, avoiding the cross referencing in case of spoilers. (I was more uptight back then.) Broom of the System was perfect for me. What was you favorite?
