“if you're interested in 'internet culture' this is a little slice of history you may want to check out. it's not great though.”
“Watched this last night on the recommendations of a few folks.
@jason is heavily featured! Josh Harris is an extremely eccentric character.
@pud did you know him?”
“Here is a review on it. Believe it or not i havent had time to warch it yet. But i wanted to post something to help you out so here it is.
This documentary about Josh Harris' surveillance-as-art project exposes the problems of privacy in the internet age and asks provocative questions about the power of ego in a place where everything is on display.”
“Great movie/story.. about a true visionary.”
“One of the best documentaries I have ever seen. ”
“Really fantastic film for anyone who is generally interested in what the consequenses of our lives online will be. Specifically covers some great examples of the 90's (including the dot-com boom and bust). Highly recommended for anyone who considers themselves an internet or tech enthusiast.”
“Entertaining movie for sure. A must view for anyone working in the Internet space.”
“I thought this was a pretty good documentation about "Josh Harris". I was little disappointed because it wasn't really advertised as being about him. I expected it to be more about the underground bunker in NYC. If you’re a geek or a social networking enthusiast, this is pretty much required reading/viewer, otherwise I don't think you'll enjoy it too much.”
“Not my kind of movie but I rented it because I noticed others had on Blippy.”
“It's a good documentary about being in a place that is being filmed alll the time. It's before the Real World, and all these other shows...and it's real. The guy that ran it was a genius, but a little crazy. A lot of money went into the place, and a lot of people were involved. A guy I've seen around who's a Venture Capitalist is in the video, Jason Calacanis (@jason on Twitter)..I was like, "Whoa! That's Jason!" Anywho...I thought it was good. :D”
“This was a 99c special when I purchased the rental. Very bizarre, disturbing at times. Almost too meta. Mr. Harris might have been pushing the Orwellian envelope at the time, but we have embodied much of his experiments in our own modern lives. Makes you wonder what crazy nut-job about today is making up the future as we speak.”
