“I wish it was Jasmine and the Giant Plum, but instead we got James and his Peaches. Read the Roald Dahl books. Multiple times. Then these films won't seem so great.”

“I seem to be watching a lot of kids movies lately and this was another one. I love Roald Dahl and my childhood was stacked full of his stories. I have to say that I was disappointed with this adaption of James and the Giant Peach. Maybe this is because I missed this as a young one and am watching it for the first time as an adult but it seemed pretty weak.

There were some pretty large deviations from the original plot...and somehow they have turned this into a semi musical!! Yurgh!!

I believe this came out in 1995...perhaps it is time for a new millennium remake!!”
