What is “Sherlock Holmes”?

This is not your great grandfather's Holmes. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law star as Holmes and Watson in Guy Richie's steampunk action hero take on the Great Detective. All of the familiar ornaments are there -- Irene Adler, Professor Moriarty, the tobacco, the cocaine, and Victorian London at its grungiest. They just add up in a different way than you've seen before. Ridiculous, yet curiously respectful of the source material.

“This movie was not what I was expecting at all. Growing up a huge sherlock holmes fan and reading books about him, this was different. However setting aside all i knew before this was a great movie. so much action and excitement. Would defiantly recommend.”

“I enjoyed the camaraderie of the two leading actors. I've enjoyed them individually and was happy to see how well they acted together. A couple of parts I didn't enjoy about this movie: the presentation of each fight scene in slow motion, and then in real time; I didn't need to see it twice and thought the slow-motion version was enough. I used to watch the original Sherlock Holmes movies and don't recall that much fighting! Sherlock was a crime solver using his brain!”
