“I had to watch this movie again after visiting Rome. It's unbelievable that they were actually able to film on site in St. Peter's, the Sistine Chapel, Castel Sant' Angelo, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and even in the Necropolis underneath St. Peter's Basilica: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vatican_Necropolis.

You should watch hannibal if you have been to florence. there are a lot of cool references to italian history, Dante and all that. We studied this movie in our Italian history class.

“I read the book by Dan Brown years ago, so I was thrilled when I heard they were making a movie about it. I knew, however, that some things would change or be cut from the original story (all books-turned-movies are) still, it was a great film and it was perfectly portrayed by the cast.
The story brings back Robert Langdon, a professor of symbology and religious iconology, where he must solve yet another mysterious tragedy, this time in the Vatican. The Cardinals are captured and one by one will be killed each hour till midnight, which at that time, an anti-matter material will be detonated, enlightening (literally) the city and proving to the world that the Illuminati are back.
