“It was a little slow, but by the end i loved it”
“Actually didn't finish it, I know I should have gave it a chance but I failed...”
“Great movie. Of the Coen Brothers movies I've seen, probably the most literary and enigmatic - so probably not as widely liked.”
“I like Coen Brothers' movies. This is my favorite. I like No Country for Old Men till they ran out of film and stopped the movie.
This does not have the problem, telling a fictionalized story of a great playwright heading West to make his fortune in Hollywood -- like Raymond Chandler or William Faulkner in Hollywood. (The idea of so distinguished a writer as Faulkner writing movies cracks me up.)
Overall, it is witty and I guess 40's stylized, till the rather strange plot twists turn the movie much darker. Very enjoyable.”
