“This is a series that I didn't know about until recently and I totally loved it. Then I found out it only lasted two seasons and was cancelled in 2004 and wondered why; it really is a great show and even has a small cult following. And because of the influx of fans that adored the series they made this film in hopes to maybe spark a return of the series. And this movie was made about 4 years after the series was cancelled, so that tells you the impact the show had for the two seasons it aired. Sadly the magic the series created didn't make it into the film, at least for me. Some may disagree. I think the movie was basically a long episode of the series and it wasn't what one would expect out of a movie. I wasn't disappointed too much because I'm a fan of the series but still it was lacking that little something to make it feel like a film that could stand alone without the backstory of the series. If you liked the series then by all means you should watch it, but if you have never seen the series then you will probably not be able to sit through this.”
