Did it really not make sense, or was it just hard to grasp? I really want to see this - started watching it with the boyfriend like, 3 years ago and never got to finish it! It looked beautiful.

It's fabulous, but to truly understand the film you need to see it a few times. Most people don't like it because the first (and only) time they see it they don't know what is going on.

I was actually pretty impressed with this. Most of that is in the casting of the lead girl. Her performance is so subtle and on-target that it kind of grounds everything going on around her.
