“Loved the locales, all filmed in the actual SF Mission district, in this self financed paean to the 'hood. The acting in this cholo coming of age /coming out flick are a lil' wooden & stiff... but that's a given since a lot of the actors are just neighborhood characters. The plot is so quintessentially San Francisco, including hipster slagging, class issues, public transit hassles, homophobia , gang bangin' famiglia, and whatnot... you either get it, or ya don't...”
