“Absolutely LOVE Tim Burton movies and Alice in Wonderland is a classic. How could you not like it. It's kind of dark and extremely different, but it's very unique and I think that's why I enjoy it so much. PLUS, Johnny Depp is in it, how could you NOT love it?”
“The acting was great, the effects were a-ma-zing! Though I was never that crazy about the story. Isn't it supposed to be about that girl being on drugs? Did the book go into better detail? (sorry guys, I don't read between the lines or take subtle hints very well) I feel the ending is just kind of blah, plain. I think I'd be happier if (potential) #SPOILER ALERT# she had decided to stay in Wonderland, battling witches like it was Narnia. Perhaps falling for the Mad Hatter. All the while spending actual life deep in a coma. Then again, I'd probably watch my version and say it was too predictable. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don't make movies. ANYHOW, I give it a 7.5/10 and you'd like it if you'd enjoy a less aquatic version of Pirates of the Caribbean. Yeah? Yeah!”
“Gotta see this movie. The loving story of Alice in wonderland with a new part; She's 19. Grown up and having the same dream makes it a whole new adventure. Of course Johnny Depp makes most of the movie, but the graphics and colors make the whole movie mystical and magical.”
“Loosely based on Carrol's original works with same major artistic license a la Tim Burton (what did you expect??).
All-in-all, the story was skin deep at best with very little character development and an ending that was too predictable (and happy) for Burton.
Still, I've wasted more time on worse movies. I'd give it a 2.5 stars out of 5.”
“The movie is beautifully done, the story lacking a little but still enjoyable.”
“This was insane! it was awesome. i love tim burton movies.”
“This was a disappointment when I saw it in the theaters. I watched it for the second time at home on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I think the main reason it annoyed me was the intro sounded almost identical to Charlie and Chocolate Factory. Tim Burton uses the same composer for every film, so it's to be expected. Just kind of annoys me.”
“I love this movie. I've watched it many times.”
“Most definetly one of Tim Burton's best films created this year such a turn around on the original Alice in Wonderland it sucks you in right from the beginning”
“Great movie, considering I've only watched like the first 20 minutes of the original, so there was some plot that wasn't ruined to me. I didn't explain that well hehehe”
“i actually liked this movie. the special effects are pretty nice in my oppinion. and i just enjoyed it :)”
“Johnny Depp in creepy clown makeup and a Carrot Top wig isn't really for me.”
“Brillant Movie Tim Burton best director for a long time the movie has a fantastic story line and great CGI effects”
“Uncanny Valley much? Will never again watch this movie. Clearly not Burton's best work.
Also, Anne Hathaway is standing next to a horse in one of the final scenes. IS IS TOTALLY NECESSARY TO ANIMATE A HORSE. THOSE THINGS AREN'T THAT FANTASTICAL.”
“While Tim Burton doesn't stick to the Average story of Alice In Wonderland, his 2010 version - which features a more adult Alice, making a trip back to 'Underland' which she used to call Wonderland as a child - puts a different twist on the story. The cast was fantastic, the characters were relatible and fun and, overall, this movie is definitely something you should watch AT LEAST once.”
“I was expecting something a little more out of this. And I was actually disappointed at first. But then I just thought about the story and how I remember it. And the disappointment went away.”
