“Go w/ DropBox instead - much better IMO. Also, when I was testing Box.net along w/ DropBox, I got an email from box.net saying they needed to transition my account from personal to paid, explaining that it looked like I was using it for business purposes, which I wasn't. In fact, I had not used Box much at all - but assume they came to this conclusion based on the naming of some of my file/folders (but why are they looking into customers files?). I emailed them and they responded w/ an apology, but it didn't matter - I had already decided on Dropbox.
DropBox is fantastic and I've been thrilled w/ their service. I have a multitude of devices and DropBox works seamlessly across all of them.”
“I haven't used the app as much as the site, but the site is great. I've been a member for some years now and it's nice to have a place to upload MP3 files and download them from another computer.”
“That's not bad.
but it's roughly alike the other apps.”
“Super handy. I use the free version and it takes care of most my requirements. It links up to my iPhone which is handy too.”
“Box doesn't sync files for offline use. Does anyone know if any of the other apps out there will truly sync files so you can use them offline?”
“haven't used it much yet since i only share a few files on box currently but slick design”
“similar user interface to dropbox, however a free offer allowed for significantly more storage”
“Doesn't quite do what it says, crashes a lot when trying to open certain files.”
“A must for anyone who uses Box.net to host files- easy access to all of your files on the go. Would like to see an optional pin-code similar to the Mint App to protect private files (I'd like to see this on more apps that deal with personal content)”
“A must have if you have a box.net account.”
“Love having all my files in one place.”
“not sure which is better yet this or dropbox???”
“I prefer Dropbox, but Box.net has come in handy a few times for reading ebooks on my iPhone.”
“Handy file transfer/storage service”
