I have not heard very much about this show. I saw a little bit of an episode, but got interrupted or something. What is the premise? Why do you like it so much?

It's a buddy cop show. In short. Bradley Whitford plays a modern day cop stuck in the 70's. He cracks me up, makes the show come alive. His partner, Colin Hanks, is the younger, modern day cop that's in current day reality. Just a fun show to watch. If you watch any episode first, see the pilot (Director's Cut) - that show will either hook you, or not.
