What is “Ren & Stimpy”?

Debuting in 1991, Ren and Stimpy was a cartoon that ran on the childrens' television network Nickelodeon until 1995. Considered one of the original Nicktoons alongside "Rugrats" and "Doug", the show centered around the adventures of slightly psychotic chihuahua Ren Hoek and mild-mannered oafish cat Stimpson J. Cat. The show was bizarre, disgusting, inappropriate, and hilarious. In short, every child's (and weird adult's) dream.
