“If you have a small business this is very useful to be able to collect cash and keep records and pictures of what you sell and how much you receive for payment. Card swipes are 2.5% +15 cents of each sale and if you need to manually input the card holders information it is 3.5% +15 cents. Check out the website. Besides that, all you need to do is apply for a square card reader which you easily insert into the phone through your headphone jack and slide the card through. Set the price of sale, take a picture of the item you sold, swipe the card and accept the payment and an email is sent to the buyer and the seller has the same info on their phone. VERY USEFUL!!! The app and card reader is free only thing is the company gets that small cut off each sale.”

“I received the neat Square card reader in the mail last week, so I put this app on my iPod Touch 4th Gen. The reader is not recognized by my iPod Touch. I think the design of the plug on the reader prevents it from inserting all the way. The plug was designed to support the recessed jack on older iPhone models. The SquareUp service and iOS app seem to be simple and functional. The reader does work on my Motorola Droid and the Android app works as well. It seems as I was writing this, a 2nd card reader from Square arrived in the mail.”
