Upon first examination Patrick appears to have everything one could want, fast car, women, money, but as the movie goes on we find that he is a twisted individual with murder on his mind. The movie does well to draw us in as an audience with plenty of gore for those of us that enjoy carnage. Christian Bale does a superb job as Patrick Bateman in an unforgettable performance that may haunt the dreams of some”

@iamphilsharp Yeah, it's social satire -- the sort of thing that would pass over a twelve-year-old's head. When you're on the right wavelength, it's pretty hilarious stuff.

I could not love this movie any more than I already do. I must see it again. It's much funnier than it gets credit for.
