“Meh. Looks great. Once you delve in to it there's a lot of flaws. It doesn't give the full articles. Just summaries and then you have to go to the real web page to read the rest. It's not a holistic experience. Also, you can only have 9 feeds. It also will post the same article several times if it's been retweeeted. It needs work. It looks great but it needs work.”
“As a prof of mine put it a couple months back: "the iPad is kind of like the microwave before microwavable popcorn." I feel like Flipboard might be the iPad's microwavable popcorn ;)”
“Read on all major blogs today that this was a killer app to browse social and news content on iPad. Apparently, I wasn't the only one since they've been down for hours :-(
Hope that they'll be back soon, really want to try it (and also those poor guys must be sweating trying to get their servers up and running)!”
“Amazing. UI that's innovative for social browsing. ”
“My preferred RSS reader on the iPad. Presents key feeds in a very pleasing and beautiful magazine layout format, including my Twitter and Facebook feeds. Comes with some suggested feeds, but allows adding any other feed. Uses a page turning gesture to move forwards and backwards in the feed. Expands links in tweets so each tweet appears like a newspaper article, headed by the tweet text itself and the body derived from the link (if available). Extremely easy and intuitive user interface. All graphics and layout effects are cool, smooth and natural. Love this app!”
“so far so good. certainly an alternative way to consume social media updates.”
“not sure if this is really as cool as everyone says”
“App of the year for iPad, imo.”
“i wish i had ipad but we don't have alot of money so...”
“impressive app that turns your social info into a magazine. put your twitter and facebook account and watch them as a magazine as well as any rss or twitter user around. its a new way to access information. basically it sorts out all the info out there and shows it on a very cool magazine sleek look and feel.”
“No idea, still waiting to integrate twitter and facebook”
“Too repetitive. Needs a LOT more content.”
“Absolutely beautiful app! It turns Facebook posts, blogs etc into a custom virtual magazine for you. You can post to peoples Facebook walls within the app. It literally condenses most of the information we find out there into an easy to read magazine format. Makes Facebook more appealing and easier to digest the flow of data.”
“Amazing app! Now it's the only way for me to read my Facebook news feed - much better than on original website!”
“The best way to read twitter/facebook for the iPad”
“Used it often for a while, but since I started using Pulse.. I really don't have a use for it.”
“Awesome ! The app for 2010 and a publishers nightmare...”
“This app will grow on you, but this is not the "newspaper" killer they claim it to be. Better now that you can feed it your own Twitter/Facebook streams.”
“I got over this sucker fast, but it is pretty and lives up to its design. Definitely worth checking out though!”
