“I really empathize with Jonathan Ames in "The Case of the Missing Skateboard." I'm fucking terrified of kids who hang out anywhere near the J train.”
“No offense to Jim Jarmusch, but lately, I kind of wish his screenplays would stay missing.”
“The worst kind of syndrome, but the best name for a syndrome. It makes the symptoms sound so pleasant and harmless.”
“A behind the scenes look at Bored to Death. Jonathan Ames, the show's creator, admits that the show is vaguely autobiographical (obviously, since he named the lead character after himself) with respect to using his revitalized love of Raymond Chandler as the inspiration for why Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman) starts moonligthing as a P.I.”
“Kristen Wiig guest stars in this episode, making it arguably one of Ames' best "cases" in Season 1.”
“Lesbians in Park Slope (which is evidently what the West Village is to gay men) pull a fast one on Ray by selling his sperm to other lesbians in their neighborhood. It's one of the sneakiest and most underhanded occurrences in Season 1 of Bored to Death.”
“One of the funniest shows evarrrr.
Jason, Zach and TED DANSON, I Mean... Common.
Just got the complete 1st season dvd for my b-day :D
Mos Def recommend it!!!!!”
“amusing for a free download. worth the click if your debating on watching the series but dont want to waste your time without knowing the plot.
not a full episode just the run down about the show/”
“Jonathan goes to a Russian nightclub in Brighton Beach (a nightclub that I hope exists in real life because it looks fucking bad ass) to find a singer/lady of the evening for one of his clients who just got out of the clink and as a roundabout attempt to win back his ex-girlfriend who always expressed in interest in going to Brighton Beach.
Meanwhile, Ray struggles with his girlfriend's bedroom frigidity (a continuing subplot throughout the first season). Oh yeah, and George experiments with being gay as a ploy to draw in more female readers for his magazine.”
“Bored to Death is one of the greatest shows I've watched. If you like comedy, this is one of the best. Ted, Jason and Zack are such wonderful characters.”
