“Finding flights to Africa is a beezy. Take ample time to search and fail. Sooner or later you'll come across a good deal. Orbitz was pretty easy to use. I just wish airline tickets didn't cost an arm and a leg. Malawi here I come!!!”

That's great you have even heard of the country. Celebrity adoptions may seem to be trendy these days, but at least it's bringing attention to some very poor places like Malawi. -from Malawi, Kyson

I cried real tears when I just went to Montreal; I can't even imagine the cost of a ticket to Malawi.

With this trip, Orbitz was only able to help me get to Nairobi via Emirates. Then I had to take a Malawi's national air courier, Air Malawi, to get to Blantyre. I think I put in a solid 15 hours over the course of a few days to plan out the flights for our 45 day trip. I almost feel qualified enough to be a travel agent. LOL.

And yes, the cost of tickets was brutal!! Sad to say that the tickets cost about 10 times an average Malawian's income for 1 year!

Wow! I did a little looking around on Wikipedia, etc. last night - just because I was nosy. Sounds like an interesting place - certainly way off the usual tourist trap grid.
