“when i think back to my youth i think about riding my bike to the old corner store. except this corner store was the walgreens, and it was by the blockbuster and the actual corner store, morningfields, which i almost never went into. for a few months, my mom worked there in the evenings and we would go visit her when my dad got home from work. so now whenever i go into a walgreens i get this warm fuzzy feeling, which is exactly the kind of long con that most businesses invest billions into tricking you into believing with advertising. and there's a walgreens every two blocks in chicago. god damn you, wallgreens.”
