I am really happy with my Kindle. I've never thought I would enjoy using a device that has no touch screen, since I have my iPhone (and hopefully soon an iPad ^^). But what makes the Kindle so special, is that it really is a dedicated device. You use it to read and that is basically it. You don't get distracted by other fancy applications.
One thing I am disappointed about is the connection to social media. It cannot connect with my Twitter account and the browser really is an "experiment". But at least this keeps me focused on reading.. ;-)
Another thing I don't really enjoy is the whole navigation (especially compared to the simplicity of iOS), but you get used to it.
I travel a lot and finally don't have to worry anymore about buying books, they are just too heavy. But the Kindle I always take with me wherever I go.

I enjoyed reading it on my brand new Kindle 3 ;-), but to really go into details you should buy the print version that is not shortened like the Kindle edition.

@heiditron No, not all Kindle versions are shortened. This one is, but it is made very clear when you buy it and it only cost $4.34.
