QR Reader for iPhone App
Well, I downloaded the first one I found, but it works excellent so far. No complaints. Like a dream.
Quammy App
This thing is so buggy, it's crazy.

It does what it says it does though: updates your smartphone contacts with the information from Facebook and LinkedIn. Doesn't seem to get ALL the contacts though. Don't know why. Like I said: Buggy.

Facebook App
I downloaded this a long time back. And deleted it. But the thought occurred: Facebook has so much money, they've probably really improved this thing since then. I've found it's got a couple nice new features since I deleted it, and a few less bugs. It balances out to be useful. (Most useful with customized notifications enabled: know what you want to know when you want to know it!)
Citizens Bank Mobile Banking App
This app marks a new turning point in the way I use my iPhone. I now think that whenever I have a problem BEFORE I DO ANYTHING the first step should be a quick search on the app store. If I had downloaded this app a week earlier than I did I would have saved $125 in charges simply from having the up to the minute information it provides.

Simple, clear, and well-maintained. This app is not full of magic tricks, it just allows you to do your basic banking (if you have an account with Citizen's Bank of course) over your iPhone securely, anywhere, anytime. Its value should be obvious by now.
AIM (Free Edition) App
I love this app. I'm using it right now. I keep connected to Facebook, AIM, and a good portion of my text messages all the time!

The only problem is: I am connected all the time. People often think I am online and available when I am asleep and this makes for constant awkward apologies on my part. Could be way worse. I used to just: Never be available.

Oh yeah, did I mention those text messages are free? You get a different number that routes texts to you, free for everybody.
PicDial App
Well...

None of the free apps for connecting your Facebook account to your iPhone's contacts work WELL. This one works. I use both PicDial and Quammy and together they seem to do the job. The contacts that one misses the other gets. Mostly.

PicDial's interface is quite easy and fluid to use by the way.
Pixelpipe App
Pixelpipe is a bit fidgety but it allows you to do something that should have come standard on the iPhone and iPad: uploading. I never found a better free program for uploading photos and videos to all the internet sources you can imagine.

I use it to update Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Plurk and others as well upload videos and photos to Photobucket, YouTube, Flickr, and on and on.

amyuhrich Pixelpipe rocks. I've used it for status updates across multiple platforms.

AdBlock Web Browser App
This mobile browser should have been a delete as it has no tabbed browsing. No use, right? Well I've been using it to edit my blog since there is no high quality Blogger app for iPhone.

If you have a need for a browser to keep one internet window open on the iPhone without it refreshing all the damn time, this is the best free one I could find. Still not perfect.

Atomic Web Browser Lite App
This was a delete. Not bad, just not great. And there are great free mobile browsers that work on the iPhone.

What can I say I'm cheap. I'm a writer. I make no money.

Pandora Radio App
This is probably the single iPhone app I use the most. I literally leave it on for hours giving me deliciously varied free background music tailored to my tastes.

It doesn't have all the features of the full Pandora experience on an HTML browser. The one thing it can't do that drives me a little nuts is I can't 'move' a song over to another station as I like my stuff separated by tempo and tone.

Other than that I can listen to music, I can give a song a thumbs up or thumbs down and better tailor the station to my likes and dislikes, I can skip a song I just don't want to hear right NOW.

It's wonderful.

bestfriend Cool, do you ever need to get the non-free one?
girlfriday I didn't know you could move songs on regular Pandora! I have to try this!
JonGorga I LOVE being able to move songs to calibrate stations!

I have never in three or four years of using Pandora felt any need (or even a serious pressure from the company) to upgrade to the paid version.
