see this is something that you would think would get annoying, but it really doesn't. Have you seen the extended version? Over 3 hours of Nyan cat awesomeness?

I wouldn't hold my breath. It typically takes about a year for anything legitimately interesting to show up. See the original DS, which was released in 2004 and had its first wave of decent software in late 2005. Same for the Xbox 360. About the only recent exception that comes to me is the Dreamcast: concentrated excellence, month in, month out, for about a year, and then it was gone.

I haven't been paying the closest possible attention, but so far the pending 3DS catalog seems to consist mostly of ports and tech demos. Again, nothing unusual there. It's just the way these things work.

Then again, maybe I'm just picky. The PS2 came out in late 2000, and it wasn't until late 2004 that I felt that it really made an argument for itself.
