jah I liked the RDJ version a lot. I don't remember the actress in that amount of detail. I wished they'd committed to a heavier dose of steampunk in their reality - that, or I wish they'd backed off of the inconsistent eye candy and just made it more realistic.

gkruis I wish Guy Ritchie would stick to making mobster action comedies, and leave Sherlock Holmes in the world of mystery and eerie intrigue. Something tells me Sherlock wasn't a crafty coke addict like he is in the books. Maybe I should just watch it though, and enjoy it for what it is.

fnoo The way I approach the RDJ movie is that there are a zillion interpretations of Alice in Wonderland, from any number of perspectives. So another weird, left-field interpretation of Holmes isn't going to hurt.

fnoo Approached with the understanding that this is a ridiculous steampunk action movie interpretation of Holmes, it's a fun movie. And it is interesting to see what they focused on. As written, Holmes is indeed an excellent boxer and this movie actually, in its blunt way, offered some insight into how that might fit into the rest of his persona.

gkruis I believe that Holmes is also the most represented character in film history, so I suppose doing the same old Holmes is not the best route if you want to catch peoples' eyes.

Rickmasta @productjoy Well it's about the Teenage life in the UK (I don't know how accurate or true it is, I don't live in the UK). But, every 2 seasons, there it's a new generation of kids and their life in college, when they go to parties, sex, drugs, drama, ect. There's some comedy too. It's one of my favorite shows.
