Degrees — Canadian Weather in Style App
Great app for Canadian weather! Gives you more information than Celsius and no ads like The Weather Network's WeatherEye. Definitely worth the low $0.99 cost.

impulsebuyer Have you found it to be accurate most of the time?
TravisOwen Yes, I believe this app uses Environment Canada for its weather data and every time I have compared with the website, the current temperature and conditions are accurate.
JellyfiSSH App
Extremely simple OSX app that saves you from typing in SSH commands manually via the command line or via shell scripts. Not a lot of options yet but you can still add any of the standard command line options yourself.
· $2.99 app from iTunes
impulsebuyer So... this doesn't actually have anything to do with jellyfish then, does it?
TravisOwen lol. Yes this has more to do with the SSH in the name than the Jellyfish. Though if sea creatures are your thing, SSH does allow you to use Blowfish encryption...
Sparrow App
Simply beautiful email app. Extremely simple interface that just makes sense.

grantcline I use this on my Mac, it is pretty fantastic!
The Pogues - If I Should Fall from Grace With God [Expanded]
I LOVE The Pogues! I bought Hell's Ditch years ago and fell in love with the album even though it wasn't anything like what I normally listen too. This album has only made me love them more. If I was forced to label their genre I'd call them an Irish, folk, punk, rock band maybe?

Beautiful music mixed with in your face irreverent lyrics. Sometimes you'll feel like you're on the shores of Newfoundland, other times you'll feel like you're in a rowdy dive bar.

chrismolnar this album is great.... they're rough but the production is so lush.
bestfriend that pogues christmas song is so so sad. I was at Lucy's, the bar in the east village, and someone played it. It was so sad and awkward everyone in the place stopped talking and I left.
rebecca_logan my all time favorite song of theirs is "wake of the medusa"...mainly bc every time i hear it i instantly visualize the painting it was based off of, which in turn was painted based on a real incident...my brain like anything related to art.
amyuhrich I'm so checking them out now...
Vinyl DJ App
Cool little app that adds vinyl-like crackles and pops to your music. Really enjoy this app especially while listening to older music that was originally released on vinyl. I especially like this while listening to my folk collection, for some reason those songs just sound better with the extra noise that is nowadays removed by modern digital processes.

saunieindiego Very cool
Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant
Classic folk album from a great artist! Worth it for the title track alone which is basically an 18 minute, hilarious story set to music.

If you like folk music and have never heard this… really? Do you really like folk music, or are you just saying that?

If you're not normally a fan of folk but are in the mood for something different this is an album worthy of your consideration.

girlfriday How great is "City of New Orleans", too? I love his cover of Walking Down the Line that he did at Woodstock. :D
Freaks and Geeks
Great underrated and under-loved TV series. I've watched this repeatedly and every time I get to the end, I'm always sad it's over. Then I watch it again and enjoy it just as much. What a stellar cast this was!
· CDN$39.99 tv season from Amazon Canada
SemtexGirl It's finally starting to get its due--granted, over a decade later. Undeclared is the truly neglected Apatow series.
The Black Cauldron
Easily my favorite Disney movie. Darker and spookier than most Disney flicks. Good fantasy story.

SemtexGirl Disney is synonymous with darkly themed stories: You've got death in The Lion King, intimations of rape in Aladdin, bestiality in Beauty and the Beast...the list goes on and on. It's cool though; it prepares children for life.
fnoo I keep forgetting about this one. It is my understanding that Lloyd Alexander pretty much disowned the movie -- though unlike Stephen King and The Shining, he at least admitted liking it for its own sake.
Trillian App
Solid IM client that lets you connect to multiple IM networks concurrently. Nice, simple layout. Good competitor to Adium.

Brother Love - Album of the Year
Fantastic, feel good rock album. Heard about Brother Love from the Keith and the Girl podcast. I can't believe I waited this long to purchase the album because it's EXCELLENT!

picplz App
Very similar to Instagram. Take photos, apply filters, post to numerous blogs and social networking sites. Also has a nice social aspect like Instagram. Only thing I miss (but not at all important) is the Polaroid look that Instagram gives pics.

The major benefit that picplz has over Instagram is that it's available for Android opening up that many more users to the app and the social aspect of it.
Echofon Lite App
Nice looking, ad supported twitter client. Offers word and phrase highlighting which is a nice feature. Not a lot of bells and whistles but does everything well. Might not become my main twitter client but well done and compelling.
Caffeine App
Prevents your computer from going to sleep while you give presentations etc. Works exactly as advertised.

I'm not important enough to be giving presentations to anyone but sometimes I like to pretend I am with my cat. She makes a good audience. I'm important to her probably, right?

Various Artists - Bach - 100 Supreme Classical Masterpieces: Rise of the...
Actually purchased: 100 Supreme Classical Masterpieces: Rise of the Masters

Great collection of classical music from a bunch of the great composers. 100 tracks for $8, you can't go wrong!

The Beatles - The Beatles 1967–1970 (The Blue Album)
Great "Best of" type collection of Beatles songs, most of which are after their bubble-gum pop music phase. Worth every penny. In all honesty though, spend the gas/bus money and go out and buy it on CD for the same price and have a good copy of it forever.

Jamie's Recipes App
Alright app. You get a 10 pack of recipes for free. After that you can buy more recipes packs in the store included in the app. If I could cook, I'd probably use this app a lot and purchase more recipes. Provides you with a nice Summary of the recipe, a list of everything you'll need (ingredients, utensils, etc) and well laid-out steps. Also there's a few video tips included.

gkruis Sounds pretty good. What types of food are involved?
Evernote App
Love this app. I use it combined with the desktop version (also free) all the time. While Evernote is good at a lot of things, I use it mainly for todo lists. For everything from my shopping lists to chores around the house to my task list at work.
Xmarks for Premium Customers App
Nice, simple little app that lets me access my browser bookmarks wherever I go.
NHL GameCenter 2010 App
Very happy with this app. Up-to-date scores sorted by date, Standings organized by Division, Conference and League, latest news, and Team information broken down into Roaster, Stats and Schedule.
· app from iTunes
JacobAlexander I agree, love this app.
Canada Post App
Simple app that lets you track your packages as well as use your location to find the nearest Post Office. This app lacks the postal code look-up from the website which to me is the most useful feature of the website.
gkruis hermmm, wonder if there is a US equivalent.
