Eco Tools Eye Liner Brush - 1 ea
Standard brow brush. It does what it needs to do with no problems.
Eco Tools Powder Brush - 1 ea
Ok, this brush isn't the best if you use powder foundation. It would need to be more dense for that.

However, I use this to set makeup (I use ben Nye neutral set). It does wonders.
Eco Tools Foundation Brush - 1 ea
I love this brush. I never use animal hair brushes because 1) they soak up makeup, 2) they can cause breakouts, and 3) i'm creeped out by the fact that i'm using an animal's tail to put stuff on my face.
Rite Aid Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 91% - 1 ea
Cuz I needs to sanitize my makeup tools so my clients don't pass germs.

70% typically is not strong enough. 91 to 99% will do the trick.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Liner Brow & Eye Pencil, Dark Brown 652 - 1 ea
I am pleasant surprised by this pencil. Its really smooth and creamy, seems to last a long time as well.

Will be buying more very soon.
Beautyblender 2, The Ultimate MakeUp Sponge Applicator, 2 sponges.
oh beautyblender, where have you been all my life?

you are not at all like those normal sponges from the beauty supply store. you don't squeek across skin, you are pink, and you make sheering out makeup a breeze since i dont have to manually break down foundation.

you make skin look airbrushed, you fix over blushed cheeks, you even fix streaky messes left behind by foundation brushes.

oh beautyblender...if only you had sex organs and a paying job. then i'd marry you.

Sun-In Hair Lightener, Lemon 4.7 fl oz (138 ml)
Because i'm too cheap to go get salon highlights.

I didn't use all of it, because I thought my hair was light enough. And it was, but I screwed up my dye job on accident.

This is awesome, but I will admit, it doesn't smell a thing like lemons.

My hair wasn't destroyed, and it works very quickly under a dryer.

Punky Semi-Permanent Colour Cream Rose Red 3.5 Oz.
This wasn't in red rose, I oreded "fire". Love this dye. Its lasts a very long time. However, it stains the hell out of everything, so use caution.
Makeup Makeovers: Weddings: Stunning Looks for the Entire Bridal Party b...
Because I need to learn more. I'm obsessed with it. In all honesty, this is a great book for bridal makeup. However, I was under the impression that anybody could do the looks in this book...but that isn't the case.

I think this book is for people who either a) have TONS of time on their hands before their wedding (unlikely) because practice for the looks is required, or b) beginning to intermediate makeup professionals who have a firm grasp on techniques already.

Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis
So since I am obsessed with Bret Easton Ellis due to the movie, "the rules of attraction", I decided to get all of his books, starting with this, his first one.

I haven't seen "american psycho", another movie based on his book of the same title, because I dispose Christian Bale. No real reason...I just do.
· $2.39 book from Amazon
amyuhrich Hmm...I on the other hand take no issue with Christian Bale, but hated The Rules of Attraction. What do you think it all means? Though I did watch that movie ages ago, and can't remember why I didn't like it; I should probably give it another shot.
VintageVixen I hate the rules of attraction when I first saw it. But I had the thought of, "it couldn't have been as awful as I thought it was, let me watch it again."
Eco Tools Bamboo Deluxe Concealer Brush - 1 ea
Thanks to @amyuhrich, I bought this. I will be getting a few more because its THAT damn awesome.
amyuhrich Ooohh, glad you like it! I think I like mine...but it's hard to tell because in all honesty I'd still rather blend with my finger. Maybe it's habit. Not too confident in my ability to judge the performance of a concealer brush, so I hope it lives up to your standards!
Eco Tools Eye Shading Brush - 1 ea
I loooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeessss my Eco Tools. I ended up buying the long version of this brush, since it would be easier to handle on a client. Awesome stuff.
Japanese Earth, Air, Fire, Water wall hanging scroll Red, Hand made, han...
I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday.

But like a complete dumbass, I cut the package open the wrong way and destroyed the hanging end of it. Such a shame, it really is lovely.

In my state of panic, my little brother suggested that I cut off the other dowel at the end, and put it in a shadow box frame.

I will be doing that. I'm glad i'm not the only brilliant one in the family.
000grace0 omg it japiness
amyuhrich Glad you're willing to admit you're brilliant, ha. On the other hand...did you learn nothing from my frantic, accidental shirt-cutting?
VintageVixen Oh I did amy lol. My brain doesn't function during immediate panic.
JCPenney
I bought a black pencil skirt by B Wear from JcPenny.

It was only 19.99, and I got site to store shipping, which took 2 days. And I had ordered it at night, so I was very surprised that it arrived as soon as it did.

I need to tailor the skirt a bit, through no fault of the company. I have a 40+ inch behind and a 28 inch waist. Quite a bit of junk in the trunk.

Material is great and I totally recommend.

So they still got me for one more payment. I wrote a very angry letter to them and said that I will be calling the better business...people on them if they don't get their s**t together.

Membership was cancelled THAT day.

Why must I make threats to get my way?

Pond's Cold Cream The Cool Classic - 3.5 oz
THIS is my Holy Grail of skin care. Well, one of them. This removes makeup completely, draws out oil, and just reallty gives my skin a deep cleaning.

For those who say cold cream is too greasy for them, i assure you, you aren't removing it correctly. You put a THIN layer on your face, massage it into your skin gently, then with a warm, damp textured washcloth, wipe it away.

That's the proper way. Yes, it says use tissues on the back, but this was in reference to Pond's brand tissues (no longer made) that were slightly textured rather than the Puffs or Kleenex we use now.

Its funny that they've changed the jar, but not the instructions lol.

What I do with this is called the One Minute Mask, in which I use the cold cream normally, then I put of a slightly thicker layer of it, leave it on for a minute, then take it off. I rinse with my Thyaers Rose Witch Hazel toner afterwards. My skin feels absolutely lovely.

As with the Pond's Dry Skin Cream, this contains mineral oil. Go read my review on the Dry Skin Cream to get a REAL clarification on mineral oil and why it WILL NOT harm you.

That doesn't apply to people who are naturally allergic FYI.

If you don't believe me, here are some MEDICAL articles that clear up the mineral oil hype:
http://tinyurl.com/3jusgrr (WebMD)
http://tinyurl.com/3aqwnuq (Medical New Today)

For those of you who are still against using mineral oil, you should promptly stop using petroleum jelly (solidified mineral oil) or baby oil (mineral oil with baby scent), and your precious mineral makeup (i mean, really. MINERAL makeup)

So yeah...shut up.
amyuhrich Odd...I wonder why they stopped making the tissues? That's sort of confusing. I love this stuff, especially on my eyes for my waterproof mascara, but I don't like using it with tissues much because it doesn't feel as clean afterwards and, well...tissues leave behind a residue sometimes, which is really annoying. I agree that this works better when used with a wet cloth.

Is mineral oil the main reason people are against Vaseline? Because I see a lot of trash-talk on that these days.
VintageVixen @amyuhrich a lot of people say Vaseline clogs pores. Which....I have never expirenced. I'm a hypersensitive person, so I think I'd know.

It it very strange how mineral oil is used on babies (the most sensitive stage of human skin...like, ever) with no problems. People are weird these days.
Premium - Motorola Droid 2 A955 Hot Pink/Black Zebra Rubber Desig Protec...
I wanted to love this. I really did.

It broke 3 days after having it. the top and bottom parts. *groan*
Portrait Knit Top
This actually came in kelly green.

The portrain neckline was a really popular neckline in the 50s and 60s, which is why I love this top. That, and I didn't have to shell out 40 bucks for a vintage reproduction of one.

Its cotton, so I can dress it up or down, and it BREATHES. Its hot outside now, I can't be cooking in a shirt of all things.
Fab Ribbed Knit Tank
I live in tank tops, so why not get more? Very sturdy. I figure that basics from F 21 are the items that DON'T fall apart after 3 washes.

Oh you sneaky bastards Forever 21. Sneaky.
Essential V-Neck Cami
I bought 3 of these: navy, orange and white.

Look at that price. I should have bought 10 of these.
amyuhrich Hell, I DID buy 10 of these. Or was it more? Best summer buy ever. They go with anything.
