The third installment in our William Fichtner movie night. I had never heard of this until I went looking for another comedy to watch. I was pleasantly surprised. In retrospect, how can you go wrong with Jeff Bridges.

This is the movie that started our William Fichtner night. We were sitting around trying to remember what movie had a naked William Fichtner trying to sell Amway to Scott Wolf. This is a really fun movie.

We had a night of only movies with William Fichtner. Drowning Mona is a tremendously funny movie chock full of fantastic characters.

Fondue pots that make you use Sterno canisters are lame. This electric one makes for much more convenient operation.

Tango looks like Apple FaceTime, but there are a few key differences. Tango allows you to place a video call over 3G networks, while FaceTime only works on WiFi networks. As a result, the video quality is nowhere near what one can expect with FaceTime, but hey, 3G video calling is pretty compelling. The other attractive feature is the cross-platform nature of the solution. Tango also has an Android client which means a larger network of video-call capable friends and colleagues.

The kindle app on the ipad is beautiful. The kindle app on the iphone is perfect for when you find yourself, er... sitting around for a few minutes. Each i-device, as well as the kindle, stays synced to your current page allowing you to switch between devices seamlessly

This app is very straightforward and super useful. It has saved me on the several occasions my home theater pc (with no keyboard or mouse attached) ate itself and needed a kick in the pants. There are some frustrating bits, like certain applications that seem to kill the server, but they are a small price to pay for the overall functionality.

I'm jealous. I see others using the Chase and BofA apps and those do cool things like allow you to cash checks by taking pictures. This app lets me check my balances, schedule bill payments and transfer money to my other accounts. Nothing glamorous here, but easier than loading the webpage each time I want to check a balance.

This is a novelty at best and is very prone to breaking. It's fun at a party if nobody is going anywhere, but I wouldn't plan my driving around its readings.

These made a fantastic gift for a huge Backyardigans fan. These are small toys, but larger than I would have expected as a "Beanie Baby". My niece uses them to act out episodes along with the television.

This is a perfect solution for our space-constrained kitchen. It may be a little small for a family and/or people with larger kitchens. I love the ratchet spinner, as opposed to the more traditional cranks on other units. This is a great space saver.

Christmas gift for a child. Great childhood memories of my own.

This is a bit of a sad story, but that did not detract from the attentive grip it had me in from beginning to end.

This game is a fun combination of a scrabble-like board game and gin-rummy. Very fun.

Better than "Countdown to Liquor Day" if for no other reason than the presence of Corey and Trevor.

VA is absolutely the best way to travel between San Diego and San Francisco. Great fares and great amenities.
