I think it's just for people who want to compete with others, I didn't really understand it either. It uses GPS to let you check in at places you go around your town?

I had kindle on my iPhone until we got an iPad, and now I find iBooks pretty great. I never thought to check out kindle for the iPad. Will look into it....

@ledlow: true! That's why I prefer reading on my Kindle device. But still good that you can read the same content on an iPhone and iPad (and Android) as well!
I used to use Loopt when I was in college, but now Foursquare and Gowalla are just better... Not sure why, but they're just a better experience. or maybe I just get sucked into the hype... lol

Heck yes. I have it on my Blackberry Tour, and now I use it on my iPhone 4, woot. It's a great way to catch up on my podcasts while on the go. Stuff You Should Know is one of my faves, yum.

I connect it to my car audio system so that i can listen to news whenever i want to.
Discovered this via Blippy! Great that keeps you from having to wait on hold when you dial a 1-800 number. The app calls you back when the other line picks up. How cool it that?!
