In the midwest where I live, a convenience chain started offering free atm service. They absord the charges, the idead being to boost store traffic. Seems to be working in these hard times.

I hadn't used an ATM card for years until this store did away with fees. Now I have two of them and use them to get money on weekends and avoid trips to the bank.
