Cut the rope is a truly hilarious game from start to finish, just the starting sequence on it's own is hilarious. The aim of cut the rope, the original, is to collect as many stars as you can while guiding a piece of candy from string to string; or rope to rope. In order to get the candy to the "thing" you have to negotiate obstacles and avoid either allowing the candy to rise out of the box or to drop out of the bottom. This Christmas version, however, has a few additions such as stockings that teleport the candy to another part of the box. I have completed the game now but this does seem to be the gift that keeps on giving because, not only can you go back and get better scores on each of the levels, but you can make your own levels as well! This is a truly brilliant game and best of all, it's free! Go out and download it from the app store now. You won't regret it.

Plants vs zombies is one of the most interesting, and definitely most addictive game I have every played on the iPhone/iPod touch. If you didn't already know, plants vs zombies is based in a world that is filled with zombies. The aim of the game is to defend your house with a somewhat endless catalogue of different types of plants from sunflowers to peas, to mushrooms. You buy the plants from "sun" which falls from the sky but you can speed up your income rate by buying sunflowers that give you sun at regular intervals. The interface is seamlessly transferred from the, original, pc version to the iTouch. At times, when you either have a lot of plants or zombies on the screen at one time, it can become quite slow and "laggy". On the whole though I think that this it's a truly brilliant game and is perfectly suited for the iTouch systems. £0.59 is a brilliant price considering the playing time you'll get out of this game. For me, it's a must have!
