It was really cute (courtesy of Rivers!) and I loved seeing the recording process (especially for the blue album). I really liked it overall and it Is great for a huge weezer fan like me!

That's interesting! Did you learn any interesting behind-the-scenes tidbits??

It was really cool to just see the process and the beginnings of the songs that are so classic and amazing inthe studio. Plus, as i said, Rivers was SOOO flippin cute! I just wanted to pinch his cheeks!

I love LOVE LOVE the Blue Album. Rivers is such a weird guy, but so fascinating!

I Know right?!?! Sometimes I just listen to it and hope that someday I could write stuff as amazing and as that entire album...and Pinkerton

Don't even get me started with latter-days Weezer. Sometimes I wish they would've stopped before tarnishing their own legacy a bit. Same goes for Green Day.

The soundtrack was a little too twee for me, but I liked the movie overall...even with its sometimes too-cutesy dialogue :)

Pauley should have been a bigger part of the movie. That plotline relied too heavily on the Kimya Dawson song: Part time lover, full time friend. As if that's enough of an explanation for why he's so uninvolved the whole time. Also, I didn't find the Bateman aspect believable. And the dialogue was over the top. I might have to watch it again to make sure I'm not being overly harsh, but I feel like it hit the theaters right in the middle of an "indie craze" and was overhyped.

It was definitely overhyped, but I remember enjoying it at the time. I may have to watch it again and reassess.

I haven't listened to any of his solo stuff :o Maybe I should get on it...?
darylp1995
I love the song "I Was Scared", its so simple and so wonderfully Rivers Cuomo's style...as the title implies a very Pinkerton-esque song : )
saunieindiego
Agreed.....one of those MUST SEE bands!
darylp1995
Well I saw them at the Pinkerton show and the energy was so high! They played an amazing setlist for the first part! (Susanne, Jamie, The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, Only In Dreams, etc.)
