An awesome new RSS reader that lets you see feeds in their original web context, instead of in a stripped out formatting view. Kinda the reverse of Instapaper.

Lots of fun. They've changed quite a few things from past Civ games, but it seems to mostly be for the better.

Mind boggling amazing. Uses the iPhone camera to translate words into another language.

I use goodreads to track the books I read. The app is pretty much a port of their site, but it works well for inputting progress on the go.

Mint.com is absolutely the best way to track your spending. The app doesn't do much, but it gives a dashboard view of your account balances and provides alerts when you go over budget.

It's great for watching tv shows and movies on the iPad.

Probably the best game for the iPhone.

Not as fun as Gowalla, but I still love it.

This app provides an awesome way to view Panoramic VR photos. You just move your iPhone around and it changes the view on the photo, it's a bit like your using your iPhone to stare into an alternate world, and is guaranteed to make people near you think your insane.

Lets you use your iPad as an external display for your computer. Kinda amazing.

This can be pretty convenient for finding restaurants near you and to make sure they are actually decent.

The best air hockey iPad app I've seen.

Absolutely love this app. It offers the best reading experience I've had so far on the iPad.

Foursquare is awesome for keeping track of the places you've been and sharing that information with friends or strangers.

I use this all the time to find movie showtimes. It uses your location to find the theaters near you, or you can browse through the movies that are out and find what theaters are playing the movies you want to see. I can't think of a reason anyone with an iPhone shouldn't have this app.

It solves all my "pretend I'm using a lighter at a concert" needs.

I don't play to many iPhone games, but this one is awesome. I think I'm going to upgrade to the paid version once I get through the free levels. Highly recommend.

It was quite good. I'm not sure if it was Oscar worthy though.

*update by request - I've been reading this slowly on my iPhone in between a lot of other books so I don't think I've gotten as much out of it as I otherwise would have, but it's been quite good. It's part of Mark Boulton's Five Simple Steps series of books (http://fivesimplesteps.com/), which will be releasing a lot of other great books soonish.
