Different. I haven't use the Kindle app much, but this is useful for those downloaded ePub books. For the life of me I haven't figured out iBooks, neither.

I see the issue. When it translated it, it didn't translate the first character because it also detected it as Traditional Chinese. It's actually Simplified Chinese. When I did switch to that it did better and called it "notes" but it's not clear from the context what kind of notes.
FWIW, Google Translate did a better job and called it "banknote."
