I'm so afraid that things like this will ruin my love for fresh salmon...I can't even bear to try. Did it taste like normal Alaskan salmon...or was it just a different kind of good?
inamorata
i'm not much of a salmon connoisseur, so I can't say for sure. It was just tasty enough to make me feel like I wasn't eating cat food.
amyuhrich
Well, I suppose I like canned tuna, and it doesn't ruin fresh tuna for me. Although, that might have something to do with the fact that I've been eating canned much longer...
This movie was very British, and that isn't a compliment. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't think it was very interesting and can't understand why it would be nominated for anything.
girlfriday
Guess it's a taste thing. I love British films. Love em. And a big fan of the actors in this one.
riddlefish
I'm with you--British humor is very hit or miss with me. More miss usually because I often just don't like the characters or it's just too much physical humor for me to get into it. Have you ever seen any British movies/tv shows that you liked?

It's usually the boring movies that win all the awards
I just wanted a cheap vacuum. The cool thing about this one is that you can use it as either a stick vacuum or a hand vacuum. That said, it's not very powerful but it has been getting the job one so far.
My favorite Indian snack. It's a bunch of random shit mixed together. Chickpeas, potatoes, tamarind sauce, chutney, yogurt, these little crispy things, maybe some other stuff...it's amazing.
I bought a pair of these boots many years ago and it has since worn out. I finally found them on ebay and am so excited to have them back! They are surprisingly comfortable and look great with skinny jeans tucked into them.
amyuhrich
Cute! That's the worst when your favorite pair of shoes wears out - lucky that you found another! Have you tried taking them to the cobbler? Whenever I buy a new pair of shoes/boots, I take them in and have a Vibram sole put on for $20. Adds traction and extends the life of the shoe by many years.
inamorata
Thanks, I will remember that for next time! I'm one of those people that keeps going back to get old boots repaired until all hope is lost...I seem so desperate.
amyuhrich
Haha - well who knows, maybe that's all you can do! I just get the extra sole on when they're new, because that way when the sole wears out, you can replace it, whereas if you just have the original sole and it wears all the way through, it's more difficult.

Get some of those bare-lifts. They are made out of clear material, and can act in place of a bra and are invisible.
amyuhrich
I usually don't wear plunging necklines for this reason...I wear strapless bras regularly, have a backless bra for when I need it, but clothes that require no bra? Maybe I need to invest in some pasties. Too scary :)
girlfriday
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I love dresses with mesh tops like this.
amyuhrich@girlfriday I know. And I have so many dresses with mesh that it's totally unnecessary now. But I love the unique neckline.
I haven't felt this enthusiastic about a pair of shoes in a while. These boots are really cute and VERY comfortable...I walked a couple of miles in them. Also, it's Miz Mooz, not Miz Moz.

I think you mentioned something about weird sizing at AA. I ended up buying leggings, a tube bra, and what turned out to be the world's smallest thong. Oh well.
inamorata
Yup :-) I had to go a size up just to have them be less transparent though.
amyuhrich
Yeah, that makes sense. I'd have trouble shopping with them online (which is weird for me, because I purposefully do 95% of my clothes shopping online). With AA, the sizing is just so different from any sort of 'standard' - I find that their dresses run way small (I usually take a S, but there I'm a M or L), but with other things I actually have to size down. I just find it really unpredictable.

Yeah, he's in Zombieland too. I keep mistaking him for that kid from Arrested Development and Scott Pilgrim. Michael Cera. Would be interesting to cast the two of them as brothers.
ChiouOnThis
I hate when that happens. Or the opposite: you get a jacket and find yourself swimming in it!
amyuhrich
Obese! That's no good. I always think rompers look cute on other people but...I haven't taken that plunge; I just don't trust them to look good on me.
