Labelbox App
This app allows you to "stick" labels onto your photos on your iPhone. It's pretty awesome--allows you to choose different styles and customize the length of each, label, etc.
Instagram App
Pretty cool so far. Think Twitter except with photos.
The Lovely Bones
I never read the book so I don't know how it compares, but I really enjoyed the movie despite the extremely disturbing visuals. And they were creepy without being gory. I only wish the outcome was a little different.

fnoo This got a full-strength critical reaming on delivery. I've neither read the book nor seen the film, but from what I've read of each the movie sounds like a good adaptation of maybe not the most obvious story in the world. I'm curious to watch this, if for nothing but to see if the negativity was as overblown as it felt.
NPR News App
Handy app if you are an NPR news junkie. You can share news stories via Twitter and Facebook and listen to news audio.

riddlefish Oooooo. Is this app still useful for people who aren't so much foodies as just hungry all the time?? ;D
krisalis903 @riddlefish hahah yep! :)
riddlefish Sweet--that's right up my alley! :D
Shazam App
Amazing app! I can't count how many times I've been out at a restaurant or a store and heard a song I really liked but didn't know the artist. Haven't had that issue since downloading this app.
Movies by Flixster App
Love this app. I rarely know when movies come out so this comes in handy. You can find show times for nearby theaters and even purchase tickets through the app. A must-have for movie-goers.
Yelp App
A handy app when you're out on the go and need to grab a quick bite to eat near by.

beverlynoelle I love yelp!
krisalis903 Me too! The app is super handy :)
Facebook App
If you're a Facebook junkie, this is definitely the app for you. The only thing I wish you could do in this app was tag people in status updates. Other than that, it's great.
Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion Pore Perfecting 1 oz
I decided to exchange the Make Up Forever HD Primer 01 for this primer after seeing a review by Pinkiecharm on YouTube. I've always thought face primers were a waste of money until I came across this one, but now I'm eating my words.

I have oily combination skin with large pores on my cheek and nose. Ever since I started using this, my foundation goes on smoother and my skin looks like it's positively glowing, but not shiny. And I would agree that it does what it says in that it gives the illusion of smaller pores. The consistency is creamy and silky. A little goes a long way. In fact, I think I use less than a pea-sized dollop for my entire face. I've been super impressed with this product and will probably repurchase this in the future.

amyuhrich I find it amazing that this is the first time I've seen this reviewed - it doesn't seem to be popular, and yet their eye primer is probably the most popular of all! So you liked it better than the MUFE primer, then?
krisalis903 I know! It has mixed reviews on Sephora. And when I was at the store, I tested a little bit of the product on the back of my hand and really liked the consistency and finish. I definitely like it more than the MUFE primer but then again, the other is color correcting and this one isn't. But still--even in the consistency, this feels like a primer more than the MUFE one did.
WordPress App
I want to love this, but I'm not sure I can right now because it keeps crashing even though I'm using the latest OS. Maybe it's just a fluke.
PBS App
This app can come in handy if you're a regular viewer and supporter of PBS. It offers things like show listings and can also set reminders on your iCal when you want to be reminded about a program.
Twitter App
Meh. That's my reaction. Just meh.

It's like Twitter showed up late to the party with its own app. I will say however, the interface is sleek and seamless, but as far as features go, it's sorely lacking.

What's it missing? Well. Scheduling Tweets for one thing, choosing your own URL shortner, click through stats... these are features that other apps like Hootsuite and Tweetdeck have already excelled in. Granted these may be for more advanced users, but c'mon Twitter, at least have the "schedule tweets" feature!

So will I continue to use this app? Maybe occasionally. If you're a power user, I'd say skip this and stick to what you currently use. Any of its competitors are better in my opinion.

Philosophy The Joy of Great Skin™ ($156 Value) The Joy of Great Skin
I've had this set for about a week now. It's probably the most expensive skincare regimen I'll ever buy and you know what? I think I might be so bold as to say it'll be the only skincare regimen I buy from now on.

This kit covers the essential skincare steps: cleanse, moisturize, exfoliate. It contains 6 products: a larger 2 oz. jar of their famous Hope in a Jar moisturizer, a 0.5 oz. tube of Hope in a Tube, an 8 oz. bottle of The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash, an 8 oz bottle of Purity Made Simple Cleanser, a 1 oz. bottle of The Microdelivery Peel Step 1 and a 1 oz jar of The Microdelivery Peel Step 2.

This is an amazing value for the number of products you get and the size they come in. I've tried all the products so far and love them. I only have a few comments: the Hope in a Tube tends to sting my eyes only for a second or two after I apply it to my eye area which is weird because it's an eye treatment. However, after daily use, I'm beginning to see fewer fine lines on my eyelids and under eyes.

The Hope in a Jar has worked so well for me as a moisturizer that it's actually reduced if not eliminated the patchy red areas on my skin (around my nose, mouth, and brow area). I will note however that this moisturizer does NOT have a pleasant smell in my opinion (it smells like a combination of musk, seaweed, and wet dog). If it wasn't for the results I was getting from this product, I would've returned it, however, I saw results after the first day and decided to put up with it.

In the end, The Joy of Great Skin kit from Philosophy has delivered on its promises so far (at least for me) and has left me with soft, moisturized, even skin that looks great with or without makeup!

amyuhrich That's strange about the Hope in a Jar - I don't think I've heard anyone complain about that smell before! It certainly doesn't sound nice.
riddlefish Yeah, I heard the smell wasn't that great, but I thought they redid the line so it wasn't so bad??
krisalis903 @amyuhrich @riddlefish It's possible they made it less smelly, but I only recently started using it so I can't compare it to any previous experiences. It does fade away after a while (or maybe I just get used to it). I'd recommend smelling it at the store first before investing in it to see if it's something you're ok with. After the way it makes my skin look and feel, i'm willing to sacrifice! :)
Precious: Based on the Novel by Sapphire
I finally watched this last night after much hesitation (I heard the story was just depressing). I thought it was good--for this being the lead actress' first film role, her performance was outstanding. However, I felt the progression of the main character's story was rather hurried as soon as she gave birth to her second child. It seemed hard to believe that she would've made such a fast mental turnaround considering the years and years of abuse and neglect she's suffered. Nevertheless, it's an inspiring story and truly deserved the awards it received.

Murad Resurgence Sheer Lustre Day Lotion SPF 15 0.03 oz
I only got the sample of this from my Sephora order, so it was really only enough to use over the course of 2-3 days. I'm not quite sure if I myself would wear this because it seems to be too heavy for a daytime moisturizer. It would probably work great for dry skin people.
· $68 beauty from Sephora
krisalis903 Wow yeah i didn't even look at the price. I'm glad I only got a sample of it. I'm not sure if it's worth the $68 in that there are other moisturizers that are much cheaper and perform just about the same.
amyuhrich Which other moisturizers would you recommend?
riddlefish Have you tried using it at night? I like using heavy moisturizers overnight to really seal the deal. :D
krisalis903 @amyuhrich I've actually been really impressed with Cetaphil's Moisturizing Lotion from the drugstore. It's a heavy duty moisturizer so a little goes a long way. Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizing lotion is still a fav of mine as well. However, my latest love is Philosophy's Hope in a Jar. I've got that on my list to review soon!
krisalis903 @riddlefish Oh yeah, it works well at night! However, the name of their product is "Sheer Lustre Day Lotion" and it's SPF 15. Using it at night would totally defeat the purpose :)
amyuhrich @krisalis903 Thanks for the info! I've heard good things about all of those for dry skin. Since it's the cheapest I might have to pick up some Cetaphil one of these days and give it a try (if that doesn't work, I'll probably move my way up the price ladder, ha).
Getting Things Done App
Great to-do list app. It works in conjunction with the desktop Mac app and syncs wirelessly with it. If you're a GTD system user, this is a great app for organizing your life digitally.
· app from iTunes
girlfriday Ooohhh! What's the best feature?!!!! It sounds like a must-have!
krisalis903 A couple things make it great: wireless syncing with the iPhone app so you can have your lists on the go as well as having teammates and assigning tasks to them. Oh yeah and the logging feature is pretty cool--it's helpful sometimes to look back and figure out what you did and when you did it.
Momento App
This is a really cool app for when you want to journal on the go. You can write entries, save photos, tag entries for easy reference later. You can even connect it with your other social networks such as Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook. This app makes it pretty easy to go back in time and read Facebook status updates too.
