Fooducate App
Haven't tested it out too much, but so far I like the idea of it. Scan a barcode of a food product, get some health info, and recommendations of alternatives you might want to eat to be a bit healthier.

Newser App
Actually really enjoying this app for following actual mainstream news (as apposed to tech news, where I get my fill from a million other sources). It's easy to scan and gives clear + concise digests of each story. Perfect for a few minutes down-time, especially for those of us who desperately need a way to get real news in addition to tech blogs.
SoundTracking App
Great new competitor to Shazam - focused more on sharing the songs you're listening to and viewing your friends ID'd songs via the social experience. Simple, following in the Instagram model. I'd like to see longer song samples (1:30 instead of :30) for testing your friends tracks (presuming full streams is impossible). I'd also love to see an option for viewing your tagged tracks and your friends tagged tracks inside 3rd party music apps like Spotify (they're already getting into this integration with Shazam).
Daily Grape App
Work in progress daily video blog app from Gary Vaynerchuk. The video episodes and community are great, but the app needs more features. It's incredibly slow to load, and you can't cache the video so you can watch it on the subway. Also it doesn't tell you where you can buy the wines you learn about, which would be an ideal next step.
Hipmunk Flight Search App
If you like/need to look up flights on the go, Hipmunk is a good new travel search start-up to give a try.
Sparrow App
Sparrow is a killer email client for Mac. Has full Gmail integration (labels, archiving, etc.). It's fast and easy to use, and I love the quick-reply, which turns email into something more like IM / txt. It feels great sitting next to Twitter as well, two streams on the screen. Only problem so far is when you have a gmail thread that's hundreds of emails long it takes a long time to load and feels like it's crashing (though it doesn't).
WatchESPN App
Great initial by ESPN - if your cable provider is a member of ESPN's TV Anywhere deal, then you can stream ESPN live for free. However, while this has potential, there are still a lot of kinks to work out. Blackouts apply even to sports center highlights, during commercial breaks it goes silent (I'd rather see commercials at that point), etc. Broadcast companies need to get to the finish line quickly with products that rivel their traditional TV offerings, or users will walk.
Photofeed by Pixable App
Nice alternative way to view your friends Facebook photos, if you're looking for that sort of thing. Easier for pure photo browsing than Facebook iPhone app.
Mike Tyson App
Free game just like the old mike tyson punch out from the original nintendo - the nostalgia alone is worth a few times playing!
girlfriday PUNCH OUT?!!!! WHAATTTT that's awesome.
TweetDeck for iPhone App
Great Twitter client, especially for posting to Twitter + Facebook at once. I still use Twitter's native app (Tweetie) most often, but there are times when I want multiple account support at once and/or to access content I've mapped out on my TweetDeck desktop client.
riddlefish Do you find having facebook and twitter on the same app useful? How so? Do they cross over at all?
kskobac On the iPhone I mainly find it useful when I want to post the same message to both networks at once. I like to *read* both streams on their native iPhone apps. On the desktop I do like being able to watch both streams at once in two adjacent columns.
An Education
This actually turned out to be a great "coming of age" movie. I had no expectations, only watching it with my girlfriend, but I really enjoyed it.

gkruis love saarsgard.
beverlynoelle Everyone in this was perfect. Her parents seemed a little...dense...though, didn't they? :D
Remote App
Control your iTunes via your phone when you're on your own home network. I don't need this very often, but it's a well done and nice feature to have to sync your growing collection of Apple products.
TETRIS® App
Have to get used to the touch controls but what's not to love about this classic game.
· $0.99 app from iTunes
dive_philospher is it harder on the itouch/iphone? i can't imagine playing this with my fingers on the screen!
gkruis tetris! do they have the original music? i love that this is russian; it's an insight.
kskobac for me, jall games are a little bit harder on the iphone than on console!
GateGuru App
Love this guy for helping you find the best restaurant to eat in any airport. Can't believe I just discovered Gate Guru, but with seemingly ever flight being delayed these days a helpful guide to in-airport food is awesome.
blekko App
I don't spend enough time with Blekko, but it's just about the only start-up "google killer" that has managed to sustain attention. The idea is a search engine of custom filters, with a lot more agressive approach to spam removal. Those both sound like interesting and increasingly necessary features in search, so I imagine we should all be giving Blekko more of a try.
IntoNow App
Think GetGlue + Shazam, for TV shows. You turn this on, and it checks you into TV shows, for points, rewards and social sharing (the increasingly normal trifecta of features). Really impressive audio footprint technology, and makes it even easier to do the check-in on what you're watching, if you're into that sort of thing.

Angry Birds Halloween App
Angry Birds is still the best game on iPhone, and their commitment to seasonal theme levels via free updates (once you buy this $1 app) makes it worth the purchase.

Honda Jazz App
Interesting twist to an online video ad, but mostly a one-trick pony. I tried it for research purposes, but don't think It's really worth the time.
Easy A
I didn't find this as funny as most people did, but it was ok for a light, moderately funny night.

PhotoRocket App
Really clean and simple tool for uploading and/or sharing photos from your phone. There are a lot of ways to do this with more bells and whistles, but sometimes you just want to share a photo and not think about the other stuff. No reason not to keep this around for when you need it.
