holy crap. it basically eats two or three chihuahuas every twenty four hours. the range of dog sizes blows my mind. what do they think of it?

On hungry days he eats about 10 cups of dog food a day. Other days he can eat as little as 6. DVP ftw!

It's off the map for touristy stuff but a must visit if you want to experience an amazing culture with very humble people. They don't call it "The Warm Heart of Africa" for nothing.
A fun game that uses GPS/Google Maps/Camera on your phone to simulate a live ghost hunt through your phone! I go ghost-hunting only during the day. I'd be too scared to play this game at night...

My wife is determined to get me using something similar to this. Tasks is a good idea, but glitchier than, and not as developed as, some competing products... Or so she tells me.

I also use Springpad which is a really good app. I just don't have the majority of my tasks on there yet. www.springpadit.com/
Finding flights to Africa is a beezy. Take ample time to search and fail. Sooner or later you'll come across a good deal. Orbitz was pretty easy to use. I just wish airline tickets didn't cost an arm and a leg. Malawi here I come!!!

That's great you have even heard of the country. Celebrity adoptions may seem to be trendy these days, but at least it's bringing attention to some very poor places like Malawi. -from Malawi, Kyson

I cried real tears when I just went to Montreal; I can't even imagine the cost of a ticket to Malawi.

With this trip, Orbitz was only able to help me get to Nairobi via Emirates. Then I had to take a Malawi's national air courier, Air Malawi, to get to Blantyre. I think I put in a solid 15 hours over the course of a few days to plan out the flights for our 45 day trip. I almost feel qualified enough to be a travel agent. LOL.

And yes, the cost of tickets was brutal!! Sad to say that the tickets cost about 10 times an average Malawian's income for 1 year!

Wow! I did a little looking around on Wikipedia, etc. last night - just because I was nosy. Sounds like an interesting place - certainly way off the usual tourist trap grid.

I had loaned to three different entrepreneurs. A pig farmer in Vietnam, a plastic saleswoman in Paraguay, and a cooking oil vendor Nigeria. You get e-mails and updates as they pay back the loan. Very interesting work they are doing.
