If you want a more subtle backpackers to stay at, I'd say grab this one. I was dissapointed beause I was expecting it to be like anyother hostel I've stayed at with partys everynight and younger people my age having fun, hanging around. This place was clean, organized, and had great staff that helped plan our excursions, but lacked the feel of a hostel. There were a lot of older people there, in the fifitys and a lot of couples in their late thrity's/fourty's. Just an interesting crowd, not one I'd expect.

If you're ever in Cairns, this is a must do for any addrenaline junkie. You can choose how to jump, I did the standard "swan dive" off the platform. Best experience ever!!

Mega-Sailboat took us out to the Great Barrier Reef. Only downfall is if you want to scuba dive and you are on any kind of medication be prepared with an OK from your doctor. When I was on it I wasn't allowed to scuba due to my medication and as a safety precaution. Got to snorkel so that was still fun but really wanted to dive.

Drinks at the bar, yet another thing that suks my money away. If you're ever in Brisbane, Australia get to a Sunday Session at The RE, great live music, pretty cheap drinks all around fun time.

I have a sweet spot for any of the designer brands for Target so I had to check this out. Most of the stuff like jean button-ups and jackets were to me kind of bland. Don't get me wrong, I usually wear bland colors but this dress was doing something for me. I figured I'd be able to wear it now in winter and pack it for my trip.

To wear it now I've worn it with black tights, black ankle boots and my light grey little leather jacket. When it's warmer I'm thinking adding a brown belt and some leather gladiator sandals.

I have heard good things and bad things. I hear for the price they are the quality isn't great and the from another I'll hear that they love their TOMs and have lasted so long. So I purchased because they are light weight and an awesome travel staple too bring to Australia.

Opened the box today when I got home and I must say, they are wicked comfortable. Like wearing slippers everywhere. I haven't taken them off yet. I'm too nervous to really wear them a lot. I don't want anything to happen with all the snow and slush.

What to pair them with, I'm wearing skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a sheer sweater that's tan from Forever21 and the outfit is cute, casual, and very comfy. I'm planning on wearing these with shorts and jeans and tee's nothing too fancy just for those days of exploring Australia.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them, let me know!

One-by-One Mascara

I went in for get some ginger incase I caught a the stomach bug and ended up coming out with a new mascara, ginger chews, and lotion.

This mascara works surprisingly well. I'm used to using my Dior Blackout mascara but I think for daytime use I'm not going to stick with this one. It's easy to wash off, and comes off cleanly with the Yes to Cucumbers facial wipes mentioned below. The brush separates the lashes without much clumping. I used two to three coats of it for a light daytime look. For night I have been starting to use this mascara for a base coat then apply two coats of the Dior Blackout mascara. I swear by Dior Blackout because it really gives you a dramatic eye look.

I normally don't post songs or albums bought on my Blippy but since it's a new year I know there are a lot of resolutions like mine and hitting the gym more is at the top of the list. I need to get bikini ready for my move to Australia and The Black Eyed Peas' new album "The Beginning" is keeping me moving during my cardio and pumping me up for strength training. So ladies (and gents) if you're looking for something to keep you motivated, try adding this album to your playlist.

I ran out and had to grab some before class. Facial wipes are a must to store in any on-the-go girl's purse. Perfect to freshen up, fix your make-up, and if worst comes to worst some guys (most guys if you're talking about my friends) only has body wash and that kills my face, so these work to wipe your face in the morning. Perfect for those ladies who go tanning, wipe the make-up before and then clean off all the nasty brown looking lotion on ya face.

Also grabbed some chapstick and body wash that was needed at the abode I'm staying in. Nothing too fancy.

Grabbed my pup-to-be Sydney some food and water bowls! I was looking for pink ones but came across these cute purple-pink ones so I had to buy them at only $3.99 (and I was only charged for one, WHAT A BARGIN). I've been on a FoodNetwork binge and grabbed a cook book that in every recipe uses five ingredients other than everyday ingredients that are in any house. Let's hope when I get home I can cook well, and leave everybody with a happy tummy!

I got the Temptu airbrush make-up bundle pack (Temptu system, highlighter, and voucher for foundation) for Christmas and finally got to the store to pick up the foundation that came with it. Along with the foundation I grabbed a blush pod and a Sephora brand medium make-up bag to store it all in ($16.00). Unfortunately, the Temptu bag cost around $40.00, if I remember correctly, either way it was more money than I wanted to spend on a bag to put it in.

The airbrush system comes with a DVD on how to apply the make-up and tips for different looks. I have never used an airbrush system but after a few times of practice I got the application process down. Takes me around five minutes to do it all, and to be honest, completely worth it. The machine itself you don't have to clean because the makeup comes in it's own individual "pods," which is a huge bonus!

I had been using the make-up for everyday light finish, for going out with friends for drinks or dinner, and plan on using it for special occasions (even doing a brides make-up this August). I'm looking forward to going back home and using it again! Even though it's easily packed I didn't bring it with for my winter term class (having a 4 year old and 6 year old asking about everything of make-up from blush to Chapstick in the morning drags out the process, didn't want to make it last 30 minutes with this "cool machine thing").

Had to get in a day of riding after a snow storm!

Adore these boots. I was in the market for new boots to enjoy all seasons and Aldo thank you for making these! Perfect with all jeans in the wintertime, and even with shorts for the summer and spring.

I found another cute pair of boots that were black and hit right under the knee. Unfortunately, if I purchased those I'd only be able to wear them for a month before I left for warm Australia.

The Coylar ankle wedge boots are so comfortable, the heel isn't too high but it's also not that awkward small heel. I suggest buying the protectant they offer at the end of sales, I have it and spray it on everything!

I needed a new suit for my semester abroad in Australia! I adore anything the is olive green, it has become my new favorite color. The detail with the stones include olive green, turquoise and pink stones. Also comes with a halter strap which will be handy when I'm swimming.
