The Fuddruckers near me closed years ago, now the 2nd closest one (20 miles away) closed too. I only found out that it had closed after reading that it is being converted into a Hooters. Currently the closest Hooters is 60 miles away. A new Hooters being closer to my home may encourage me to actually visit one. Google now shows the closest Fuddruckers to me is 45 miles away...

This place is near my apartment in SF. The burritos are okaaay... not amazing. They're too "wet" or something. Anyway, recommended in a pinch. For something truly outstanding, try Papalote about a 1/2 mile away.

Burger Joint
I think this place has the most delicious burgers in San Francisco. Also, it's across the street from The Summit Cafe (aka I/O Ventures) which is a great place to work & drink coffee, with free wifi. Thumbs up.

Roadside burrito joint in Palo Alto. I dig it. I usually order one thinking I'm gonna eat it on my drive back to San Francisco... but I usually end up parking in the lot and finishing it in my car. Pathetic. Good burritos though.

Pearl S022N 20 Strand Snare for 14 inch Snare Drums, with Cords
Snares! This purchase will make my snare drum happy. Snare strands tend to break one-by-one. Before you know it, your drum only has like 2 or 3 strands left. I've only changed snares like 3 or 4 times since I've EVER been playing drums. Don't need to do it very often.

Is drum hardware (felt washers, bolts aka tension rods) plagued by marketing and brand names? It seems like some of this is really basic & cheap, and I kind of expected super titanium whatnots. Are drummers just too down to earth to sell glitzy junk to?

There are few things worse, as a drummer, than playing a show with your drums sliding around everywhere as you play. Finally bought a small rug (it's more like a yoga mat) that I can bring along to shows. Happiness!

This place is pretty bad. First it looked like no one was working there. Nobody in sight, and most of the food areas (like in the glass case) empty. Finally found someone, bought a nasty-looking pre-packaged bagel & lox. Wasn't good. But I was desperate.
