Tried to take Jacqueline to Toyose and it was a 2 hour wait. Lame. So we decided to get some Shabu and on a recommendation of a friend we went to "Shabu House" in SF. The beef was awesome. It melted in your mouth. All in all, awesome place for meat eaters.

This is an awesome Korean place in SF. If you are looking to drink Sake and Beer and have some nice greasy fried Korean food. The wings are amazing, as is the fried rice and mushrooms. Had a great time with some old friends there. Really worth it!

It isn't very korean, its mostly korean. It sells some chinese dishes and a couple other things.
I can't think of places with yang nyum other than Cocobang in SF. Have you tried that? I'm not sure if its legit, I'm not Korean, but its really good.

I got two cards that day, 4 mins in the box. I'm glad Blippy picked it up and scored 2 goals while we were a man down. Go Blippy!
I got 2 cards for screaming at the ref. The guy on the other team was extremely physical and I at some point told him "stop pushing me in the bank". At this point I was standing fairly close, I was guarding him, they were on offense. He then elbowed me in the face. I yelled at the official if he saw that, then I got the card! I sort of got mad at point, and then got another card.
You had to be there I guess.

Toyose
A Korean restaurant in SF with the street name "The Garage". Because it really is in someone's garage. It is a zoned commercial area, but instead of remodeling the bottom of the home, they just turned the garage into the restaurant. The inside is dark, cozy, warm and filled with Korean aromas. Definitely a feel of a dive bar and not at all a garage.
The Kimchi Rice and Seafood Cakes are the best. Fried chicken and soups are great too. Soju, a fruit smoothy mixed with alcohol, is the drink of choice. And this place more than anything else, is a watering hole, that serves great drunk food.
A couple of types of Soju and couple of liters Hite (Korean beer) and some food and you are set for a great night.
