It is most similar to the nano, though not as compact. I purchased the 4 GB model; an 8 GB is also available. Note the price differential - the nano costs $150 or more. Hope this helps...

I bought a refurbished one from Best Buy on sale for $29.99 at the time. Looks like it is $39.99 new, at least right now (http://tiny.cc/ktih5). You might want to try google shopping to get the best deal.
