Talking Tom Cat App
everyone has played with helium balloons I think.
This is similar as it listens and repeats anything you say to it and repeats it in a helium voice.
for maximum fun, try it on your dog and watch it bark at it back and forth endlessly

帝國 Online App
it's like a huge MMO chat room rather than a MMORPG.
the chat text/window covers 3/4 of the screen and that turned me off completely.
recent reports also suggest people are being charged without permission for inapp purchases.
fishy.

Olly I somehow managed to have this application purchased via my account, despite the fact I don't actually own an iPod at all!

Apple gave me my money back though, so all is well.

High Noon App
Freemium MMO gunslining action!
probably one of the most addictive online multiplayer game- please correct me if I'm wrong.
the learning curve is fairly high at first but once you get the hang of it you'll want to compete with everyone else.
It's free and you can actually progress without paying a single dollar.
AppShopper
for those who like to wait for discounts or even for the rare occasion where it goes free, this is the app. sign up, tag apps that you want or own and you'll receive relevant info regarding its updates such as price drops, updates and so on.
very useful.
Infinity Blade App
an on-rails ARPG by Epic Games, makers of the Unreal engine. There is not a whole lot of story as the game mainly relies on a self improvement mechanism. But the graphics are the best that has ever appeared on the iphone/iPad and the combat is surprisingly deep (without much frustration) and innovative. the amount of items available for purchase (with ingame currency) and level up customisation should satisfy a lot of rpg fans.

price includes both iphone and ipad version. Having played on both, I would have to stick with the iPhone, however. The graphics and resolution is more detailed and controls are far far easier as everything is within reach. Only downside is, if you're looking for all the secret pickups, they'll mostly be too small to be seen on the smaller screen.

game center integration, with multiplayer and lots of updates and expansions planned- this has plenty replayability. worth every dollar+highly recommended

beverlynoelle This sounds awesome. Love Epic!
yellowchilli and by the way this runs using Unreal Engine 3 :D
fnoo The whole concept strikes me as a pretty interesting way to milk a limited amount of design and turn it into both an extended, epic experience and a postmodern commentary on game design in general.
Khoa I can't beat the last boss... taking me like a billion bloodlines!
yellowchilli haha i experimented a lot since i have both an ipod touch and the ipad.
beating the god king at lvl 50 turned out to be easy with powerful spells doing 500dmg per cast
but at level 100, he's already resistant to every single type of magic.........by that time i had invested enough points to easily do 1000 dmg. what a waste
still satisfying to pull off almost-one hit kills on normal opponents with my powerful spells though
IncrediBooth App
An absolute must for toycam lovers. Offers an endless combo of flash bulbs, films and lenses. Expandable via inapp purchase

3D Rollercoaster Rush App
one of the first games i bought on my ipod touch 2d. a lot of fun and challenges. drains battery fast though.
Monster Trucks Nitro App
a fun 2d stunt racer with pretty good physics. worth the purchase
Xfm App
Large collection of streaming Internet radio stations...especially useful for people who don't have the luxury of being able to use the likes of Pandora
Epic Citadel App
An absolutely amazing tech demo running on Unreal. Any gamer no matter how casual should check this out
Real Racing App
Still the best racing game available on the iPhone/iPod touch
Facebook App
Best version mobile client compared to all other os's. Badly needs an iPad version though.
yellowchilli Thank you, will check it out :)
brolop or Facebook friendly browser for ipad. Its fantastic and only a buck.
yellowchilli cool will have a look too
Gangstar: West Coast Hustle App
As close as you can get to gta3 on the iPhone/iPod touch. Very entertaining despite iffy car controls
Google Mobile App
useless for those who are already familiar with google's services and dont need shortcuts to them
· app from iTunes
su I do use this occasionally - it is just a handy app to get to Google stuff quickly. shrug. It is free and it makes for less typing - always a good thing on the SMALL screen. I'm a Google power user - perhaps I'm just slow.
Need for Speed Shift App
nice gfx, good gameplay. but my ipod touch 2g cant handle it....
